The paper is handmade from 100% recycled cotton fiber. The book is bound in leather and has an embossed Tree of Life symbol. In this book, each spread is a separate sheet produced separately by hand. It gives the edges of the pages a beautiful natural and slightly uneven finish.
Yggdrasil's branches reach down to bind together with the roots of the eternal cycle. The tree of life, Arbor vitae (Latin) is found in several cultures and has different names. In Old Norse mythology it is referred to as Yggdrasil and is the center of the Viking worldview, its branches connected the different worlds and creation as a whole.
