Today, brass is a mixture of copper and zinc. During the Viking Age, copper was mixed with tin in different proportions to get the same gold-like color that brass has.

Care

Oxidizes over time and becomes darker in color. You can easily polish the jewelry with brass or silver polish. This can be purchased in most grocery stores.
