An elegant tablespoon in horn, that fits well in the hand. With its very stylish and grip-friendly design, it is both beautiful to set the table with and practical to take with you on picnics and camping. The spoon is made of natural cow horn which is light weight and varies in colors, this makes each spoon unique. The model is inspired by Viking-era finds from Iceland.

According to ancient traditions, horn are the best material for spoons and the only real thing to eat your Santa porridge with. Horn is a material that is not only beautiful, but also naturally durable and 100% biodegradable.

Cow horn is a fantastic material that until about 100 years ago
was widely used for many things.
When plastic arrived, it replaced horn in many everyday items that had
traditionally been made by hand.
People used to make spoons,
combs, eyeglass frames and shoe horns out of horn, among other things.
Our horn products are made by hand with great craftsmanship in a small village in northeastern India. The horns are cleaned, sorted, boiled and ground before they are shaped into beautiful craft.
Horn is very strong and fully
compostable, a sustainable material, both for you and the environment. All horns used in Nordlys' production are a by-product of the meat industry and come from domesticated cattle.

Care

Horn is a very durable and durable material. If you want to clean or wash your hornware, you can do it easily with warm water and washing-up liquid. If you clean with degreasing agents such as washing-up liquid often and to extend the already long life of the horn, you can also oil the horn with a vegetable oil such as olive oil. And wipe off afterwards with a cloth.
Horn is not dishwasher or microwave safe. As these risk splitting the horn in its different layers.
